Curly Tail Care Company (CTCC) — Client Service Agreement / Terms & Conditions
1. Services and Release
CTCC agrees to provide pet sitting, dog walking, and other agreed pet care services in a reliable, caring, and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services, the client waives and releases CTCC, its owners, employees, and representatives from claims except those arising from CTCC’s negligence or willful misconduct.
2. Notices of Concerns
Client agrees to notify CTCC of any concerns or complaints within 24 hours of completion of services.
3. Payment and Charges
Client agrees to pay all charges for services rendered. Payment is due at or prior to the start of services unless other payment terms are expressly agreed.
4. DEPOSITS, CANCELLATION, HOLIDAYS, and EXCEPTIONS
- Deposit: To secure a booking, a 30% non‑refundable deposit is required upon receipt of invoice and must be paid within 24 hours or the dates will be released.
- Purpose of deposit: This deposit is paid to reserve the assigned sitter’s time and is used to compensate the sitter for holding those dates and for lost opportunity to accept other work. Requiring a deposit helps ensure sitter availability, fair compensation, and reliable service scheduling for all clients.
- Balance due: Remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the scheduled appointment. Changes made after the 7‑day cutoff do not relieve the client of the remaining balance.
- Holidays: Major holiday bookings require a 50% non‑refundable deposit on invoicing and full payment 7 days prior. A 25% holiday surcharge applies for services within 3 days before and 3 days after major holidays.
- Exception: In rare cases CTCC may waive or refund the deposit if a client must cancel due to verified serious illness or hospitalization. Any such exception is granted solely at CTCC’s discretion and may require documentation. Weather, travel disruptions, and other events outside CTCC’s control are not eligible for deposit refunds.
5. Sitter Standards
CTCC uses professional sitters who are covered by company liability insurance and are bonded for extra protection. This differs from hobby or casual sitters who are not insured or bonded by the company.
6. Care, Liability & Limits
CTCC will exercise reasonable precautions against sickness, injury, escape, loss, accidents, or death of Client’s pet(s). CTCC is not responsible for such events unless caused by CTCC’s negligence or willful misconduct.
7. Heat, Weather & Walk Adjustments
In very hot, humid conditions or when pavement/ground temperatures are too hot, CTCC may shorten outdoor walks or provide brief potty breaks instead to protect your pet’s health. Time saved from outdoor activity will be used for indoor enrichment, play, mental stimulation, or additional handling/cuddles. Before modifying outdoor activities, CTCC’s team will assess weather forecasts, ground temperature, and consider your pet’s breed, age, medical conditions, and apparent comfort. CTCC’s primary concern is keeping your pet safe, comfortable, and happy.
8. Vaccinations & Veterinary Release
Client represents pets are current on vaccinations as required by law. CTCC will follow the instructions on the Veterinary Release Form for care if a pet becomes injured or sick.

12. Termination & Refusal of Service
